Things have somehow got even worse for 2015’s Fantastic Four as even director Josh Trank has decided to disown the much-maligned movie. Trank’ Fantastic Four was supposed to reinvent the superhero team after 2007’s Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, with a younger cast of actors. But the attempt at a gritty origin movie failed to strike a chord with audiences. Fantastic Four is largely regarded as one of the worst superhero movies of all-time, with even the cast members like Jamie Bell and Toby Kebbell trying to erase it from their memories....

Judge Lucy Koh ruled earlier today that Apple would not be able to recover the roughly $16 million in legal fees incurred while suing Samsung for patent infringement, according to a new report. Apple would have had to prove to the court that the case was exception in order to recover the legal costs, which Koh said it had failed to do. Snapchat has apologized for releasing a Juneteenth filter which asked people to ‘smile to break the chains of slavery’ after it was met with widespread criticism and ridicule. However, the company has since taken issue with one specific claim … Many Twitter users observed that the company had clearly failed to run the idea past any of its black employees. Interest in the much-debated Justice League Snyder Cut continues to climb by the day, with Zack Snyder now releasing a new image of Aquaman at Superman’s grave. Snyder departed the movie due to a family tragedy, with Justice League being subject to massive reshoots that took the film in a drastically different direction from his original plan. Since then, the grassroots campaign to persuade Warner Bros. to release Snyder’s original cut of the movie has been complimented with a growing number of cast and crew members making their support for it known, while Snyder himself has done plenty to drive up demand for it by releasing images and storyboards from his cut on social media....

Julianne Hough supports Gabrielle Union’s meeting with America’s Got Talent and NBC executives. Hough broke her silence about their controversial firing in series of interviews this week. After being let go during their inaugural season as judges on the hit show, Hough and Union went their separate ways. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is expected to top Incredibles 2 at the U.S. box office this weekend. Back in 2015, director Colin Trevorrow brought the Jurassic franchise back with Jurassic World, a record-breaking smash that earned $1.6 billion worldwide. Of course, a sequel was inevitable, and Universal is now preparing to release Fallen Kingdom, the second installment of a planned trilogy, in theaters. Whereas the first Jurassic World ran unopposed as its weekend’s lone wide release, Fallen Kingdom won’t have that luxury....

So, when he loosely adapted Michael Crichton’s novel, Jurassic Park, he took some artistic liberties, condensing the story to its most vital elements and whetting the scares to a sharpened point....

Director Zack Snyder has revealed that his version of Justice League would have included even more comic book villains - including Darkseid’s Master Torturer, Desaad. Named in reference to the Marquis de Sade, the villainous character was created by Jack Kirby and debuted in Forever People #2. He was first seen as an ally of Drax, the original heir to Apokolips. Apple is facing an increasing number of lawsuits centered around allegations that it is responsible for accidents caused by users who are driving while distracted by their smartphone. One case, however, as reported by Law360, has been thrown out by Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Maureen A. Folan… The case was brought to court by David Riggs, whose son was killed in 2013 when he was hit by a driver who was texting....

The script for Justice League 2 is, unsurprisingly, already in the works. Raylan Givens may be the star of the neo-Western series Justified, but Boyd Crowder, the show’s villain, certainly steals more than a few scenes. The show follows Raylan, a U.S. Marshal, who returns to his hometown of Kentucky to take on the local criminal element. Boyd, a man Raylan used to work with, proves to be his main target. Though a relatively small-time criminal, Boyd has big ambitions and won’t let too many people stand in his way....

According to Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle star Karen Gillan, fans of the 1995 Jumanji film starring Robin Williams have nothing to worry about, when it comes to the film. Welcome to the Jungle is a followup to the ’90s film that changes some details from its predecessor, while still keeping the central premise of a magical jungle adventure game. This time, the story revolves around a video game rather than a board game, and the kids playing it are transformed into the video game characters played by Gillan, Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, and Jack Black....
