The Justice League 3000 comic series saw Batman resurrected via a clone. Both Batman and the Justice League have gone through numerous transformations over the years. In Elseworlds stories, the Dark Knight has become a vampire and a version of Doomsday known as the Devastator, while on TV there was the campy fun of the 1960’s Batman series, and more recently there was Gotham, which explored his origins. Likewise, George Clooney’s smirking take on the superhero in Batman & Robin has little to do with Christian Bale’s tortured take in the Dark Knight trilogy....

Previously shown off during CES, Kanex is today launching its new portable Apple Watch battery, which includes a built-in magnetic charging connector making it one of the first official cordless accessories of its kind. The new GoPower Watch battery from Kanex includes a 4000mAh battery, which the company says should get you around 6 charges of your Apple Watch. You can also use the battery’s USB port to charge your iPhone and other devices as long as you supply your own cable, and the battery itself charges using an included micro-USB cable....

The lion is no longer king of the jungle in the latest Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom TV spot. The Jurassic World franchise is heading in an unexpected direction. Where the first trailer teased a rescue mission, the final Fallen Kingdom trailer revealed dark forces at play, as well as a genetically-engineered dinosaur that’s about to wreak havoc. All this is set against the backdrop of dinosaurs seemingly getting off the island, and into the wider world....

Despite high demand for multiplayer, Just Cause 4 will be a single-player game, though the door remains open for multiplayer to be added in the future. After being leaked in an ad on Steam, Just Cause 4 was officially unveiled by Square Enix during the Xbox showcase at E3. The open-world sandbox series of action games, Just Cause, features so many opportunities for chaos and destruction that many have campaigned for the games to eventually provide multiplayer support....

Josh Brolin is sharing a first look – sort of – of his character Cable for Deadpool 2. The superhero movie world was all abuzz last week when 20th Century Fox announced that Brolin was cast in the coveted role of Cable in Ryan Reynold’s hotly anticipated sequel to the 2016 blockbuster Deadpool. Several big names were considered for the role – including Brad Pitt and Michael Shannon – and the casting of Brolin caught everybody by surprise since he is already playing Thanos in Disney/Marvel Studio’s MCU and will be a pivotal character in 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War....

Apple has settled a long-running class action lawsuit by workers that accused the company along with Google and other tech companies of entering illegal non-poaching agreements. Associated Press reports that a judge has given the green light to a $415 million settlement after rejecting an earlier settlement as inadequate. Judge Lucy Koh had rejected an earlier settlement offer, saying it didn’t offer enough compensation to about 64,000 workers affected by the case....

A new report from Bloomberg today stated the U.K. Court of Appeal in London asked Apple to remove the apology to Samsung posted on its U.K. website and replace it with “a new notice acknowledging the inaccurate comments” in the next 24 hours. Earlier this month, Apple complied with U.K. court orders that forced the company to post an apology explaining Samsung did not copy the iPad’s design. The court’s issue with the apology was four extra paragraphs that Apple inserted with favorable quotes from the initial ruling that described Samsung’s tablet as “not as cool”:...

Jurassic World successfully relaunched the Jurassic Park brand on the big screen in 2015, taking in a massive worldwide box office haul of $1.67 billion and all but guaranteeing that co-writer/director Colin Trevorrow’s vision of a Jurassic World trilogy will, in fact, be realized. Trevorrow and writing partner, Derek Connolly, are putting together the screenplay for Jurassic World 2, but the former has handed off the responsibility of directing to Juan Antonio Bayona - in part, because Trevorrow is going to be busy prepping to helm Star Wars: Episode IX in the near future....

After rising up the A-list thanks to Creed’s success, Michael B. Jordan is now using his clout to serve as a producer on projects, helping a wide range of stories reach a mainstream audience. His latest vehicle is legal drama Just Mercy, which held its world premiere at the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival and is finally playing nationwide following a limited theatrical release. With Just Mercy drawing from an emotional true story and featuring a talented cast, there was some thought going in that it could be a viable Oscar contender for Warner Bros....

New Jungle Cruise images provide a look at Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt returning for reshoots. For decades, Disneyland’s Jungle Cruise has been one of the park’s standout attractions, despite the numerous new additions that have cropped up at the world-renowned amusement park over the years. Originally opened in 1955, the Jungle Cruise involves a boat ride through a mysterious jungle setting, complete with a wisecracking guide and plenty of wild animatronic beasts and reptiles....

Deadpool 2 is creeping closer and according to Josh Brolin, who plays Cable, fans can expect to see the protector of the mutant messiah in three more films. The sequel to Deadpool is introducing a lot of elements expected to expand the X-Men universe, including the introduction of a number of new mutants. The film seems to be teasing a broader look at the X-Men universe, presumably with Deadpool’s characteristic charm and flare....

Marvel Studios is currently in-production on both Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War; Warner Bros. Pictures has films of both the DC Extended Universe variety (Aquaman) and other franchises movies based on popular intellectual properties (Tomb Raider) that are either in the final stages of pre-production and/or have started rolling camera; and Universal is gearing up to start shooting its own heavyweight 2018 release, in the form of Jurassic World 2....

With demand for the “Snyder Cut” of Justice League continuing to grow, Zack Snyder has released a new image of Alfred Pennyworth from his cut of the movie. The version of Justice League released into theaters was a major divergence from what Snyder had intended, having undergone massive reshoots following his departure in the wake of a family tragedy. Now just over two years out from the release of the theatrical cut of the film, interest in Snyder’s original version of the superhero ensemble is far from dissipating....
