Kamcord, the SDK that lets iOS developers offer gameplay recording and sharing functionality, is today launching a redesigned community iOS app while announcing some impressive new milestones for the service. Kamcord’s Eric Edelman tells me the company is doing “greater than 1% of YouTube’s upload volume now,” which means it’s uploading more than 1 hour of gameplay videos every minute. In total the platform is now at 14 million videos uploaded by users accounting for a 4x growth in share rate and up 9M videos since May....

As for Peele, The Hunt marks the latest endeavor for his Monkeypaw Productions, which collaborated with Blumhouse for the 2017 hit Get Out and Spike Lee’s Golden Globe-nominated 2018 film BlacKkKlansman....

A judge decided today to deny media requests for a public release of Steve Jobs’ videotaped deposition in last week’s iPod antitrust case. Joss Whedon’s new HBO sci-fi show The Nevers has added six more characters to its cast. The show was officially ordered straight-to-series by HBO last July and marks a long-awaited return to television for Whedon. The Nevers is the first show he has created since Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. which premiered in 2013 and will air its final season in 2020 after Marvel canceled the show last month. The series comes at an opportune time in Whedon’s career after he departed the DC Batgirl movie he was set to direct last year....
Karamo Brown, star of Queer Eye, has been eliminated from Dancing with the Stars’ Halloween special. This marks the season’s most shocking elimination since Sailor Brinkley-Cook and Val Chmerkovskiy exited the show. The creators of Judge Dredd: Mega-City One revealed at San Diego Comic-Con today that writer Rob Williams has finished the script for the upcoming TV series pilot. Williams is no stranger to the property, as he’s been writing stories for anthology magazine 2000AD, including Judge Dredd stories, for years. He’s heading up the creative team for the TV series, which is expected to premieres sometime in 2019. Mega City One will take place in the eponymous metropolis, which occupies the better part of the eastern coast of the United States....
