We’ve gotten our first look at the Apokoliptian Mother Boxes from the movie that the villain will be hunting down, and the final Justice League hero costumes they’ll use to do it. Thanks to toys located on the show floor, we have the best look yet at the final, sculpted, painted design of Steppenwolf in his full battle armor - massive war axe in hand....

Zack Snyder’s newest Justice League tease may be his boldest yet, but it’s once again causing some people to question just how complete his original cut of the movie actually is. One of the biggest struggles the Snyder Cut has faced is the assumption from many that the movie doesn’t exist, and the news that Snyder would like to shoot additional scenes is reigniting those claims. Snyder recently hosted a contest for fans to create their own posters for Zack Snyder’s Justice League (the official title he’s using instead of “The Snyder Cut”), and he revealed the prize for the top poster (out of an estimated 1,200 submissions) was the scene marker used throughout Justice League’s production, only with an additional message on the back, making it a sort of “golden ticket” for the winner to operate the marker for the duration of some additional photography to shoot new scenes with Batman, Superman, Lois Lane, and Martian Manhunter....

A Kantar survey provides some insight into how the HomePod might fare as it goes on sale tomorrow. Unsurprisingly, the greatest appeal is among those who already subscribe to Apple Music. The firm found that subscribers were nine times more likely to purchase a HomePod than non-subscribers … However, the time taken by Apple to enter the market may have cost it some customers. Conversely, however, some who have tried cheaper ones may be tempted to upgrade....

Josh Hartnett has set the record straight on old rumors about him being cast as Batman, Spider-Man, and Superman in the early days of his career. The director of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle has addressed the controversy around Karen Gillan’s costume in the movie. The widely popular Just Cause video game series is getting a movie adaptation from John Wick writer Derek Kolstad. Even though video game movie adaptations have a supposed curse on them, Hollywood is not going to stop trying to make them work. There have been some failed attempts in the past, but there are several other properties in development with potential, and now Just Cause can be added to the list....

The Justice League situation could be a lot worse. Justice League is a film that has been talked to death in the time following its release: from fans petitioning to gain access to the elusive Snyder Cut, to the revolving door of directors and other crew members attached to, and subsequently detached from, the project, the 2017 film has been analyzed from nearly every angle. One of the biggest complaints from fans was the involvement of Joss Whedon, who essentially remade the film on a lower budget, and cut out many of Snyder’s original ideas, presumably to appease Warner Bros....

After the release of Avengers: Age of Ultron, Joss Whedon detailed some of the clashes he had with Marvel Studios over the film’s production. He was clearly frustrated, and his comments seemed to paint Marvel as hard to work with and lay the problems with Age of Ultron right at the studio’s feet. A lot can happen in a year, however. Speaking with actor Mark Ruffalo onstage at the Tribeca Film Festival, the year-older and year-wiser Whedon seemed to paint a different picture....

A federal jury today bought an end to the patent infringement fight between Google and Oracle, with the former winning the battle. Oracle had accused Google of using 37 Java APIs without its permission and paying it the necessary royalties. Both companies have been involved in this legal battle since 2010. The jury declared that Google’s use of the 37 Java APIs was protected by “fair use,” which means that Oracle is not entitled to receive any money from Google for use of Java’s APIs in Android....

T-Mobile is making life much easier for customers looking to upgrade their iPhone on a yearly basis. Starting this month, the Uncarrier is allowing customers to enroll in the iPhone Upgrade Program online or via the Apple Store app. Previously, T-Mobile customers were required to visit an Apple Store to join the iPhone Upgrade Program. The change occurred earlier this month and was highlighted today in a thread on Reddit....

Apple did not infringe a live-streaming technology patent held by Emblaze Ltd., a jury decided earlier today. The conclusion to the lawsuit comes less than two weeks after it started, and affects both Apple and third-party developers that use its live-streaming technology in mobile apps. According to Emblaze, Apple’s HTTP live-streaming service was “nothing more than Emblaze’s patented solution under a different name.” Because Apple required developers to use its own live-streaming platform, developers of apps like MLB At Bat and WatchESPN were allegedly being forced to violate the 2002 Emblaze patent....
