When trying to determine which out of the long list of reboots or long-gap sequels that Hollywood has been releasing throughout the past few years were successful, 2015’s Jurassic World would inarguably sit right near the top of the list. Directed by Colin Trevorrow, the film became one of the most financially successful in cinema history, even if its critical appeal dwindled the more time passed after its release. So much so, that the confirmation of Universal’s franchise and sequel plans for the film were some of the least surprising announcements made last year....

There have been many adaptations of the classic novel but 1993’s Journey To The Center Of The Earth by NBC has to be the worst. The book was written by Jules Verne, who also penned classic adventures Around The World In 80 Days and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. The plot of the book finds a professor and his companions undertaking an expedition into the Earth via some volcanic tubes, and they encounter various dangers and prehistoric creatures along the way....

In a move that should excite old school fans of the Caped Crusader, Justice League composer Danny Elfman has confirmed that he’s bringing back the classic theme music he originally created for 1989’s Batman. A federal juge ruled on Tuesday that AT&T can proceed with its $85.4 billion acquisition of Time Warner. Judge Richard Leon ruled the deal is legal and he did not impose any conditions on the merger. Today’s ruling comes as part of the antitrust lawsuit levied by the Justice Department last year. Now that the merger has been given the go ahead, AT&T will add Time Warner’s content to its existing paid TV subscription....

The Trailer Makes The Plot Feel Contrived No matter how exciting it might be to revisit beloved characters in a franchise, plot always takes precedence. Unfortunately, judging from the trailer, the creators of Fallen Kingdom didn’t seem to get the memo. The first Jurassic World ended with some unique potential for a sequel (militarizing dinosaurs being the standout), and while those loose ends may still find some footing later on in the franchise, the setup for Fallen Kingdom seems to come out of the blue....

Among the cast and crew of Justice League, Jason Momoa has been the most vocal in his support for releasing the “Snyder Cut” of the film. After Zack Snyder stepped down from directing duties on Justice League in the wake of a family tragedy, the movie underwent major reshoots, though Warner Bros. maintained that the movie being released into theaters would remain Snyder’s vision. Upon the film’s release in November 2017, fans quickly came to realize that the reshoots had taken Justice League in a very different direction from what Snyder had intended....

Warner Bros. hoped the film would serve as a course-correction for the troubled DCEU, but instead the film was widely panned by both fans and critics alike.
