We’ve written about former Apple employee Wayne Goodrich before. Back in 2012 he launched a lawsuit against Apple claiming that co-founder Steve Jobs told him in 2005 he’d be guaranteed a job for life at the company. That was after being fired by Apple a year after Jobs’ death despite his guarantee of job security. Now, Goodrich, who was an executive producer of public presentations and with Apple for almost 20 years, has been given the go ahead for the lawsuit by a judge in Santa Clara (via BizJournals):...

A federal judge has ruled that Apple has to face a lawsuit accusing the company of hiding the fact that iPhone demand in China was declining, leading to “tens of billions of dollars in shareholder losses.” The specific focus is on the comments made by Apple CEO Tim Cook during Apple’s fiscal Q4 2018 earnings call, Reuters reports. As a recap, Apple was forced to revise its Q1 2019 earnings guidance due to “fewer iPhone upgrades” and significant demand problems in China....

Jussie Smollett has been officially removed from Empire’s remaining season 5 episodes. On February 20, the actor was charged with felony disorderly conduct for allegedly filing a false report about a January 29 attack in Chicago. Since 2015, Smollett has appeared as Jamal Lyon on Fox’s musical drama. The character’s sexuality is a main storyline in season 1, and Smollett clarified his own sexuality during a March 2015 interview with Ellen DeGeneres....

While Marvel started out their cinematic universe with solo movies leading up to the big team-up film The Avengers in 2012, DC seemed to take a different approach and released Justice League after only introducing Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. Claiming Samsung copied the iPad’s design, Apple has successfully achieved their mission in getting an Australian judge to block Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 from being sold in Australia, reports Sydney Morning Herald. Apple says that Samsung is infringing on two patents, and the judge ruled until changes are made the Galaxy Tab 10.1 can’t be sold from this point on. Apple and Samsung have current litigation continuing over in Europe and the United States....
