The Internet enjoys a reputation for being unflappable in cases of newsworthy events, with devoted social media practitioners taking pride in their ability to absorb each new viral clip, fail compilation and cat video. But some things are still incredible enough to stun, and this week that something was video footage of a truly massive alligator - estimated at 15-16 feet in length - casually walking across the green at the Buffalo Creek golf course in Florida....

As said, there haven’t been any accidents with the cars, except for a fender bender that occurred while the vehicle was being manually driven by a Google employee. But some people are still reluctant about letting a robot drive them around. Jordan Peele had the surprise breakout hit movie of 2017 with last year’s Get Out, and now it seems that an unlikely source may have inspired the comedian to write a sequel to his directorial debut, or at least joke that it had. The comedian, who wrote and directed the horror/thriller about a young black man who learns some pretty disturbing things about his white girlfriend’s family after meeting them for the first time, won an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay for the movie....

Grewal has ordered Apple to reveal exactly how it’s complying with previous orders to hand over evidence in a lawsuit that accused the company of collecting users’ location data. It will also have to submit documents related to its process for reviewing apps. Jordan Peele’s much-anticipated revival of The Twilight Zone has added Ginnifer Goodwin to the cast. The new series will be a follow-up to the original Twilight Zone that aired during the late ’50s and ’60s. Created and narrated by Rod Sterling, the original Twilight Zone took its audience on a journey of horror, suspense, and mystery with each episode featuring a unique standalone story. In the new series, Peele take over for Sterling, while also serving as executive producer; and he has demonstrated his familiarity with the genre with his Academy Award-winning film Get Out, as well as his upcoming film Us....

Universal Pictures has slightly delayed the release of Jordan Peele’s Us, pushing it back one week. Entering 2019 as one of the year’s most anticipated films, Us is Peele’s first directorial effort since the Oscar-winning smash Get Out, which was also nominated for Best Picture and Best Director at last year’s Academy Awards. Announcing himself as a compelling and entertaining voice, many cinephiles have been eagerly waiting what he does next....

JP Morgan sees Apple’s tablet rivals cutting down on their build plans after “an early dose of reality”, as analyst Mark Moskowitz has put it. Flagship tablets aren’t selling as their makers have been hoping, JP Morgan concluded tracking “widespread reductions in build activity” in recent months. This includes flagship devices such as Motorola’s Xoom, Samsung’s Galaxy Tab, Research In Motion’s BlackBerry PlayBook and Asustek’s Eee Pad Transformer (which was suspected of falling prey of Apple’s buying power)....

As part of the ongoing legal battle between the two, a U.S. trade judge has declined Qualcomm’s request for an import ban on certain iPhone models. As reported by Reuters, the judge said that while some iPhone models infringe on one Qualcomm patent, an import ban would go against certain factors… A U.S. International Trade Commission judge said that select iPhone models infringe upon one Qualcomm patent related to power management technology....

The latest image from the famed “Snyder Cut” of Justice League has arrived online in the form of an image of Ryan Choi. It has become increasingly common knowledge that the version of Justice League released into the theaters was a stark departure from what Zack Snyder had intended, owing to the movie’s notorious reshoots following Snyder’s departure in the wake of a family tragedy. The two years since the movie’s release has seen the demand for the Snyder Cut of Justice League grow increasingly mainstream, with the two-year anniversary in November seeing the issue explode like never before....

Director Colin Trevorrow has confirmed that the third and final installment of the Jurassic World trilogy is now in full swing. Sub-titled “Dominion,” the film will unite the new trilogy cast with original Jurassic Park stars Sam Neil, Jeff Goldblum and Laura Dern for one final (possibly?) dino outing. While the original Jurassic World film was praised as a fun return-to-form for the franchise, the second film, Fallen Kingdom, was met with slightly less favor from critics and audiences....

Fans can now get an idea of how Darkseid could have looked in Justice League, thanks to some newly released fan art. Created by Jack Kirby, Darkseid made a cameo appearance on the page in 1970 before debuting fully in 1971’s Forever People #1. The character went on to become not only a staple Superman villain, but the nemesis of the entire Justice League. Zack Snyder originally hired Ray Porter to play the Lord of Apokolips in his version of Justice League before he had to leave the project in the wake of a family tragedy and Warner Bros. brought in Joss Whedon to drastically reshape Snyder’s original vision for the movie, including the removal of Darkseid, and Ray Porter, entirely....
