Justice League’s production designer Patrick Tatopoulos shares a concept art for Ray Fisher’s Cyborg. Tatopoulos worked with several notable directors with films like Alien vs. Predator, Stargate, Independence Day, and Underworld to name a few. He is also a frequent collaborator of director Zack Snyder, working on all his DCEU films since he kicked it off with 2013’s Man of Steel. Their latest project was the Warner Bros. ensemble superhero project and thus far there’s no word yet on when they’re reuniting next.

Among the six main heroes featured in Justice League, Fisher’s Victor Stone made a brief appearance in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice like Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen/The Flash and Jason Momoa’s Arthur Curry/Aquaman. They made their official debut a year later in Justice League, joining Henry Cavill’s Clark Kent/Superman, Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne/Batman and Gal Gadot’s Diana Prince/Wonder Woman. However, among all lead characters, it was Cyborg who had the shortest end of the stick despite having massive potential for the hero.

Taking it to his official Instagram account, Tatopoulos shared concept art he made featuring Cyborg. The creator said it’s nothing but for fun, but fans are digging it especially since it offers them a closer look at the character design for the hero. Check out the image below:

The second year anniversary release for Justice League is approaching, and yet the movie remains a controversial topic given the continued Release the Snyder Cut movement - a petition that calls for Warner Bros. to release Snyder’s original edit before Joss Whedon stepped in. The campaign is fresh off of a successful San Diego Comic-Con stint with billboards and various other advertisements for it seen near the venue. Despite that, the studio remains mum about the matter. And as they continue building their own superhero franchise, it doesn’t seem like there’s any interest in revisiting any narrative that Snyder set up in his films - that includes the supposed Cyborg solo film.

It’s no secret that much of Snyder’s original Justice League cut that was left out when Whedon manned reshoots and post-production, including Stone’s origin story. Over the last few months, Snyder has been dropping never-before-seen content giving fans a hint about his initial plan for Stone, and based on what’s been revealed thus far, it looks like he was going to be a much more fleshed out character than what he became in the film. And since he was more of a McGuffin, there’s no urgency to see him back on the big screen. This is despite the fact that there are a couple of future avenues where he can pop up. That’s a shame since the hero has a unique power source, as well as origin story.
