Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom shows off plenty of toys at Toy Fair 2018, including Funko Pop! collectibles, LEGO sets, and multiple versions of the new hybrid dinosaur, the Indoraptor.

The American International Toy Fair was held in New York City last weekend, where toy manufacturers from around the world showcased their already available or upcoming products set to hit shelves. Screen Rant had a chance to check out toys and figures that will tie into some of this year’s biggest movies, including Hasbro’s Infinity Gauntlet from Avengers: Infinity War, LEGO’s Kessel Run Millennium Falcon from Solo: A Star Wars Story, and a whole host of tie-in merchandise from this summer’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Directed by J.A. Bayona, the film brings back Jurassic World’s Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) and Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) for a new dino-centric adventure.

Screen Rant had a chance to check out various Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom tie-in toys and products as part of this year’s Toy Fair. The spread included LEGO sets based on action set pieces from the film - like the Gyrosphere escape from the Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom trailer - as well as plenty of tie-ins from Mattel. Mattel showcased a new toy based on the hybrid villain dino, the Indoraptor. The Indoraptor is also featured in one of the LEGO sets, the Indoraptor Rampage at Lockwood Estate, which is teased in the second Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom trailer. Take a look at photos of the toys in the gallery below.

Little is known about the Indoraptor, and we’ve yet to get a full look at the new dinosaur in any of the footage from the upcoming Jurassic World sequel. However, the hybrid was teased in Jurassic World, setting the stage for the Indoraptor to terrorize Owen and Claire in Fallen Kingdom. Based on the Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom toys, the hybrid dinosaur will have black scales with a streak of yellow/gold down its side. Plus, a mask based on the Indoraptor’s likeness reveals the dinosaur will have some truly fearsome teeth. Further, given what we’ve seen of the Indoraptor in the trailers, the new hybrid will be much larger than a raptor, which should make it a much scarier antagonist.

Other Fallen Kingdom toys of note from the Toy Fair display are the Owen and Claire Barbie dolls, with Claire not wearing high heels, which was a contentious talking point among fans of Jurassic World after the film debuted in 2015. Also being showcased were the Funko Pop! figures from Jurassic Park, being released this spring in honor of the original movie’s 25th anniversary - though, unfortunately, the Target-exclusive shirtless Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) figure was not on display.

For movie fans excited to see Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom introduce a new hybrid dinosaur, these toys offer a good idea of what to expect from the Indoraptor - that is, a truly terrifying new dinosaur to terrorize Owen and Claire, as well as the new characters joining the franchise. Plus, for those looking to add to their Jurassic Park collections, any of the new figures released in the franchise’s 25th anniversary year will be make for good additions.
