But Jones is far more than a fabulous, fierce performer; Juanita also has a quasi-known public pen name, authoring her blog Juanita Eats Out. In fact, she worked professionally in kitchens across SF before fully diving into the drag waters.

Dinner and brunch menu items for each seating include MORE’s famous chicken livers served on toast and her French-style carnitas—complete homemade ricotta, chicories, and salsa verde—and endless drinks, like mimosas and champagne. (Because drag; because gays; because brunch.) In the coming weeks, the 620 Jones St. staple will, too, transform in to MORE!Jones, a Latin-Mediterranean restaurant helmed by chef Cory Armenta, which is the timely refresh the eatery is well overdue for.

On Wednesday nights specifically, Juanita will host a $35 family-style dinner with a changing menu. Starting September 12, expect fried chicken with “honey goo,” followed by pozole rojo on September 19th. And yes, you can rest assured Juanita will grace patrons with her ubqitious drag and over-the-top charisma.

// MORE!Jones is open Tuesday—Thuursday, 5pm-midnight; Friday—Saturday, 5pm-2am; Sun 11am-3pm; visit juanitamore.com for, well, more details. Juanita More in portrait, hair by Brent Haas, Styling by Todd Hartnett, photo by Dan Nicoletta.
